Using Family AI (voice & text)

Nori AI Chat is a powerful tool that helps you work hands-free, save time, and turn ideas into actions. You can use it to create events, recipes, lists, notes, and much more. You can talk, type, or upload photos depending on what works best for you.
 

Access AI Chat

There are two quick ways to open AI Chat:
  1. Tap the text field at the bottom of the screen to start immediately.
2. Tap the hamburger menu and select AI Chat.
 

Ways to Use Nori AI Chat

You can interact with Nori AI in several formats:
  1. Text messages: Tap the text field to type normally.
  2. Voice messages: Tap the microphone icon and start speaking. Nori listens instantly.
  3. Photos and files: Upload photos or documents, or take a new picture with your camera.
  4. Email: Send messages to your family inbox and receive AI responses.
  5. More ways to come: Additional ways to interact with Nori AI will be added over time.

 

Usage Examples

Example 1: Create recipes with what you have

  1. Tap the + button and take a photo of what’s inside your fridge.
  2. Type or say: “Create recipes with these.”
  3. Nori AI will suggest multiple recipe ideas, and you can customize them further.

 

Example 2: Create an event by voice

  1. Tap the microphone and say: “Create an event for Nori, starting at 10 AM on December 10, ending at 11 AM, with a reminder and call alert 5 minutes before.”
  2. Nori AI will create the event and show it in the chat.
  3. Tap the event inside the chat to continue editing it.

 

Set Up Email Access

You can talk to Nori AI through email, which is especially helpful for school calendars or document-based schedules.
  1. Go to Settings > Talk with AI via email.
  2. You will see your family inbox. You can customize the username portion. Format: username@ai.heynori.com
  3. Add the email addresses that are allowed to send messages to this inbox.
  4. Emails sent to the inbox will receive AI-generated responses.
 

 

Find Previous Conversations

Each time you reopen AI Chat, it starts a new conversation. If you want to review past conversations:
  1. Enter the full-screen AI Chat view.
  2. Scroll down in the black chat area to see your latest messages, or tap the history icon in the top-right corner to browse all past conversations.
You can continue any past conversation by opening it from history.

 

Usage Limits

Nori AI Chat requires a subscription for unlimited use.
